Hello, Lately I've upgraded my laptop's RAM from 2GB to 8GB which is the most it can hold.

Many told me that it will affect the cooling system of my laptop so I removed the DVD-rom or the thing where you put the dvd or cd since I'm not really using it and I have a Cooling pad with two large fans under it, I can even feel the breeze while using it.

My laptop's performance really improved so much, I can now play while listening to music, spawn hundred of sweet roll in Skyrim etc etc. But I've been wondering if I can upgrade my CPU? I've noticed that my laptop can handle more work now, but sometimes it kinda heats up so fast because of the workload(?)
I have some games with bouncing ***(apparently no profanity allowed.) and the physics involve in the bouncing, gives me really low FPS.
So can I upgrade my CPU for the sake of bounc-- physics and such?

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3110M @2.40GHz
RAM: 8.00GB (7.87 Usable)
x64 Operating system
Intel HD 4000

For physics as you mentioned, is handled by the CPU. But from your case if you want to play better games, you will need a discrete graphics card, but that isn't really possible to integrate into a laptop.

Thank you. So you're saying that if I want to play better games I have to invest into a better laptop or a gaming computer?
It's hard to be broke.

Why not just get an external CPU?

Kidding. These don't work at all. Although I've had their ads following me for months now even though I clear my cookies regularly. I'm not going to post a link because I don't trust the site. If Bluhell Firewall has a problem with it, then so do I.

The CPU upgrade will help, assuming your cooling can handle it and it doesn't throttle like crazy. But the i5 has the same integrated graphics chipset as your current i3, so you won't be able to play any "better" games. But the games that you do have currently you will probably see an increase in minimum framerate and smoothness most likely.

what if I get / try one of those eGPU's? Would that work?
