Bought new SSd "No boot device found. Press any key to reboot the machine"

I posted earlier about having my HDD die. I purchased a SSD which I tried to install in my laptop. However, when I turn it on I don't even see the DELL screen and can't access my bios ( I have a flashed USB in the computer)

I tried using my friends hard drive from his laptop and my laptop booted up fine. How can I configure this damn SSD? Any idea?

What Laptop is it?

You might have to use a normal hdd to boot to the bios and change Sata mode from IDE to AHCI before connecting the SSD. See how that goes.

My HDD Cannot even get to those freakin BIOS. WOuld that mean I'd have to download the bios to my USB? or just any random HDD?

Any hdd that your laptop works with, like your friends to get to the Dell splash screen where you can hit f12/f2/del or whatever key you see there used to enter bios setup. Can't just download bios to usb, its integrated into the motherboard and thats where it stays.

So I'm in my bios with my ssd my keyboard isn't working but how do I go from here. It's not booting from my usb. Not even giving then option in my boot menu

Ok, i would try again make sure the connection to the SSD is a good fit, also have you tried it in your friends laptop to see if the SSD works?

So the bios work with the ssd. The issue is the fact that I can't seem toboot anything from there on
I am in my bios though

What do you mean you can't boot to anything? Are you trying to install Windows?

Look at your boot order in the bios and check your SSD is listed there.

I'm only seeingoing windows boot manager but if I go in legacy boot list I do see the ssd

alright so in the boot list, priority - make that your DVD. You trying to install Windows from DVD yeah or usb? Either method, make that your first boot priority

Try use rufus if you want but just make sure usb is formatted as fat32 before using Microsoft's media creation tool. Don't remember if it formats it as Fat32 automatically as Bios wont read ntfs

well rufus worked fine! If you know windows installation though, I'm using Windows 10 Education 64 bit .iso but I'm stuck in a loop that says : "The computer started using the windows installation media. Remove the installation media and restart your computer so that Windows starts normally. Then, insert the installation media and restart the upgrade. [Do not select | Custom [advanced]| to perform an upgrade." however my computer does not even have an OS to start with.. :/

Deselect the usb from boot order, its trying to boot from it again
