im aware this is a very common problem, i have tried installing windows 7 off a usb and off a cd, but as soon as i press install windows it gives me the error message saying that a cd/dvd drive is missing, i downloaded the ssd drives online and made a bootable iso out of them and it said that it doesnt detect any hardware needing updates, i also went into diskpart and selected the ssd to active, still nothing, it is deteced in boot menu and bios but cant install windows 7 on it, any suggestions?

Hey there.

Make sure that your Win 7 installation media is working properly (e.g. try installing Windows on another drive if possible). If that doesn't turn out to be the issue, I'd recommend that you try updating or resetting your BIOS, to see if that fixes things up. You could also check for firmware updates for your SSD model on the manufacturer's website.
Another option would be to give it a try with a different SATA port and different cables, or better yet - with a different computer, to see if the problem still persists.

Hope that helps.
