. You are to upgrade your system RAM from 2GB to 10GB and you are provided 2DIMM RAMs of 8GB PC3 16000.Your PC has 4 banks with the original 2GB RAM running at DDR III 1375. But when you placed the 2RAMs on the PC together with the 2GB RAM, they don’t work. Why? Explain.
b. With this scenario, what size of RAM will work on the PC assuming only 3 RAMs exist.
c. You have been advised to replace the DDR2 2GB RAM. Is that possible? Explain.

Solution
First is the new ram jedec spec voltage? Not all motherboards work on higher than 1.5volt ram. Second always put the faster ram in bank 0. I suggest testing new ram by themselves first.
