Hi guys,
Apologies if this should have been posted elsewhere.
So yesterday for no reason that I can see steam games suddenly stopped working. Older games like metro 2033 will run at 10-15fps and newer, more demanding games such as rise of the tomb raider will simply crash at the first rendered frame.
I know this sounds like a GPU issue and my GPU (a GTX 1080) is pinned at 100% in metro 2033. However, non-steam games are totally fine. The non steam games are on the same SSD, there is no hardware difference.
I have tried removing and reinstalling nvidia drivers, I have tried reinstalling steam, re-downloaded games, followed every weird suggestion I have found online. I am totally stumped.
I don't even know what to try at this point.
My system is:
i5 6600k
16GB DDR4 2100Mhz RAM
512GB SSD (for these games, OS on a smaller SSD)
Gigabyte Extreme gaming GTX 1080
Windows 10 64bit.
Apologies if this should have been posted elsewhere.
