How well will the Phenom X4 9950 perform with a lower end GPU like the R7 240 or R7 250? If anyone knows any other good AM2 CPUs or knows how well this one will perform with a low-end GPU, please, state it in this thread. (optional question: How good out of 10 would you say the Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate gamer's case be compared to the X-Blade?)

Solution
CPU and GPU load are largely independent of each other. It's better to ask two questions:

1) How will the Phenom x4 perform in my games / apps?

2) How well will the R7 240/250 perform in my games?

The Phenom x4 9950 will cause low framerates in brand-new AAA games, regardless of what video card you have, but it's fine for running most older games and indie games.

The 240 and 250 are generally adequate for running AAA games at low graphical settings fairly smoothly, though don't expect 60fps. Your framerate will, of course, depend on your CPU too. If the CPU can only deliver 30fps in a game and the GPU can deliver 50fps, you're only going to get 30fps.

Is it possible for you to go up just one generation?
I'm sure plenty of people still rock the Phenom II x4 955 in low end gaming builds.
Something like that should even be able to keep up with like a RX 480.

If you can push for the Deneb you won't regret it, it is a legendary CPU.
