hey guys, im sorry if i seem bad with this, im pretty new to the pc gaming and building scene and still have a lot to learn. anyway, at the moment i'm running a gtx 960 2GB with the amd a8 7650k dual core processor. (i know it's bad, im on a budget). so i'm thinking of upgrading to the GTX 1060. can anyone tell me if i would be bottlenecked by the amd a8 7650k if i were to upgrade. thanks :)

thanks a lot for the reply, i haven't noticed any bottlenecking before with the 960, could you suggest a better cpu that would go well with the gtx 1060? budget around £200-£300 or cheaper if possible

Bottleneck will only occur at times. And only in certain games (or multiplayer) where the CPU is in more demand. The 960 isn't really a bad choice for that APU. I would easily have used that myself. I was just trying to answer your question as accurately as possible. The GTX 1060 6GB is considerably faster than the 960 http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-960-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB/3165vs3639
The result being (1) you will still see a great improvement over the 960, but (2) you will not get the maximum benefit that the 1060 has to offer. A better choice (still some bottleneck) might be the less expensive RX-470. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-960-vs-AMD-RX-470/3165vs3640
Plus, the AMD card has the edge in Win10 DX12 games.
