FC4 needs a net connection even if you only want to play singleplayer apparently. You cant play even offline single player without being online to log it. At least that's my problem. I think if you spend the cash to play their game you should be left alone to play it without such headaches. I have had the silly game for 4 days now and they are down. The site says tech difficulties. This is precisely why you should not have to log in anywhere if you don't want to play multiplayer or even then its should be none of their business. They already have the cash.... Just saying ... its upsetting to have a new toy and not be able to play. Even the start in offline mode won't let you actually do so without first going online to log in........ Terrible. No more ubisoft games for this guy...

This is not true. You don't even need to be online for the Xone version anymore, and that never had anything to do with Ubi in the first place. It was MS that originally said all Xone games would require a connection. The PC version never required it though. If you were complaining about Ubi's title The Crew, then that's another story, but FC4 never required it.

That said, many digital download versions of PC games require online activation, but once that is completed, you can play them offline with no connection. You can also put Steam and Uplay in offline mode in games that allow it, and this one does.
