So I have an MSI gaming X card and whenever I am idle (gaming mode) it is clocked at 1583 MHz approx. But when I launch a game or another intensive program it goes all the way to 1963 MHz clock speed approx. They are never shifting clock speeds in games so I know there is no bottleneck. Is this normal for my 1070? Btw cpu is i7 4790k. Thanks.
