Gtx 560ti replacement

Just purchased a Gtx 1070 sc by evga. Do I need to uninstall the nvidia drivers being as it's the same download for the 560ti as it is for the 1070?

you techincally should reinstall drivers.

but... what is the rest of your system looking like? before anyone advises you on your upgrade.

You should and use driver sweeper or DDU to remove all configs. Its best to start out as clean as possible.

Dang I was hoping they had found a Better way of swapping gpus especially between the same manufacturers. Bummer.

Yep, conflicting drivers are an issue with all graphics card, a fresh install after a driver wipe is a must if you want to ensure you have no issues later down the line.

Nope, just updates to the latest one through their software and keeps all the old drivers as logs and backups.

Didn't have to run all that drive sweeper in safe mode blah blah ect. Just followed the install procedures in the manual and no problems. I knew there was an easier way. I'm not paranoid enough to run all that stuff. Glad I didn't waste my time.

No you shouldn't uninstall Intel HD graphics drivers for the iGPU, good to have if your GPU dies.
