Hi guys,
First of all my board is a intel d5400xs.

It has 6 sata ports inside but when i load into the bios under drive config it only shows up with 4. I have an option to switch from RAID, IDE to (AHCI which then will show all 6 sata ports) except I cannot use that setting because im running windows 10 and the OS will not load in that config. I recently bought 2 more HDD but cannot figure a way to get them online because of this issue. any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

Welcome to Tom's Hardware, @Foley480!

Have you tried re-installing the OS while you have your storage configuration set to AHCI? Maybe you should try it. However, make sure you unplug all secondary HDDs from the motherboard while clean installing the OS, otherwise you will encounter an OS confusion which will require you to repeat the procedure again. If you don't want to go through that struggle, then I'd advise you to try resolving the issue by resetting BIOS. If that doesn't help either, check your motherboard manufacturer's official website for any SATA controller & Chipset driver updates for your model. While on it, make sure you got the latest BIOS version installed as well.

Keep me posted with the troubleshooting...
