Approximate Purchase Date: Within a week

Budget Range: $2,000-$2,300

System Usage from Most to Least Important: 4K video editing (Adobe Premiere, Avid), Streaming HD-4K video, Moderate gaming (mainly WoW, Starcraft 2)

Parts Not Required: Not including peripherals in this list, just the PC and Display.

Country: Japan

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I am hoping to mainly use Amazon JP.

Parts Preferences:
CPU: Intel i7 6700 3.4GHz 8M BX80662I76700
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI
Memory: Kingston Fury Black 16GB HX421C14FBK2/16
SSD: Samsung 750 EVO 250GB
HDD: Seagate 2TB 2.5’’ ST2000LM003
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5
Case: Lian-Li PC-Q10WX
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 550 GS, 80+ GOLD 550W, Fully Modular
Operating System: Windows 10

Display: This one I need advice on… I was hoping to spend $500-700 max, but I want a 4K IPS monitor. Seems the best options are the Dell P2715Q or the LG 27UD68. Does anyone have better recommendations?

There is also the option of just going with 1440p. It would probably be better for gaming with a 1070, and I can just play the 4K video at 1440p. This won’t really be a professional workstation. I’ll just be doing personal projects and maybe some freelancing.

Thoughts?

Overclocking: No, just the Turbo-boost

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1440p or UHD

Additional Comments: In a few rare cases (like the GTX 1070), buying from Amazon US and shipping to Japan is actually cheaper than buying it in Japan.
I’ve also used Kakaku.com, and for almost all the parts Amazon JP is cheapest or within ~$10 of the cheapest price.
But, if you have any better suggestions, let me know.

Thank you!

You could save a bit, possibly, by going with a Crucial MX300 525gb, for the ssd, and maybe a Corsair CX550M, for PSU. That Evga GS is a great unit, though. There are some less expensive case options, out there, too. https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/gHkD4D,VH2rxr,2kTrxr/

Just wanted to give you some options, should you find yourself in a budget crunch, due to monitor. Your parts choices are really good. :D

Thank you!

Also, I think I'm gonna go for the 4K monitor, and now I'm deciding between the Dell P2715Q and the Asus PB279Q.

Thanks! Do you mean the MX300 275GB? The 525GB also looks like a good deal, but it's more expensive than the Samsung 250GB. The MX300 275GB and the 750 EVO 250GB are pretty close in price, and in Japan the 750 EVO is actually a little cheaper, by about $7. But, I do get the extra 25GB with the MX300... I'll think it over.
