Hey everyone.

Just a quick one. If i change my server and host in speedtest to one with a better ping. Will this improve my in game ping in games such as CS-GO. Because i've been told CS selects its own servers. Does speedtest actually change where my data is being routered from?

Thanks.

The way csgo matchmaking servers work, if yes It will determine which servers are closest to you in terms of the amount of time it takes to ping them, however it will sometime put you on a server that it further away due to load on the servers closer to you

In csgo settings you can also set the max ping you would like when playing so that it will only put you on servers where you have the number you set or below
