Hello I'm having a problem after installing the AMD drivers for my graphics card.
my computer isn't a flashy one but here goes.
amd phenom 955
asus 6800 series
4 gig ram
gigabyte 740g am3 motherboard
windows 7 fresh install
I tried to update to the latest drivers but the screen just goes black after the Windows is starting message.
i have installed the latest drivers no luck
I have removed the old drivers using ddu no luck
tried to install manually no luck
It's a gigabyte motherboard, model number is below, using the f10 drivers. I have Windows 7 Home service pack installed. There is also no anti virus system in place. I've literally just reformatted my hard drive with a fresh Windows install.
the card works fine with the standard display adapter, only when the new drivers are installed. The card is made by Asus. Believe it's a 6870 HD. Everything worked perfectly until I installed the new drivers.
Motherboard is: Gigabyte GA-MA74GMT-S2
nothing is working and I need help please
any advice where to start? The screen works perfectly in safe mode so I can't suspect its a hardware issue
