Is Intel Pentium G4400 a good replacement for AMD FX-4100?

Just now my AMD FX-4100 gave up after running for 4 years. I am currently tight on budget so I obviously cannot spend much for a new CPU.

My basic purpose of using computer is Web Browsing, Programming, Server, Photoshop, Music, and Videos.

I came across with this CPU Intel Pentium G4400 and it seems appealing to me.

I want to know if it would be a good replacement for my AMD FX 4100.

The Pentium is more than adequate for light desktop usage, but you'd probably see a world of difference in Photoshop if you can stretch your budget for an i3 6100.

Right now I want to stick with some Low-Mid end Computer. I am planning to buy an Intel i7 after an year or so, just for the meantime.. I am compromising.
