My Case Fan is too load, how to reduce it speed?

I just fixed an additional fan to my chassis, but it is too loud! and the speed reached 1900rpm on normal state! I tried SpeedFan software but it seems that it is not working for me, here a pic:

3-pin fan or 4-pin fan?

My bad, the following product will work with 3-pin and 4-pin fans. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4SR1R85136&cm_re=fan_cable_resistor-_-9SIA4SR1R85136-_-Product

It has an inline resistor to reduce power to the fan, reducing RPM and therefore reducing noise.

Not all motherboards allow you to control their fans. That being said, did you take the time to configure SpeedFan or did you just install it and expect it to work right away?

Oh it's Molex? How did you connect a Molex fan to the motherboard? Or did you connect it to the power supply?

You showed chassis fan speeds in BIOS, so I thought it was connected to the motherboard.

In all honesty, I don't really think you can slow down a fan that connects directly to the power supply. I mean, you can put in a resistor, but I can't say for the resistor being able to withstand the power from a direct connection to the power supply.
