I am Upgrading my PC I would like to reuse my RAM I already have, however, The voltage on them is too high. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Y2ztCy "The G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.6V exceeds the Intel Skylake CPU recommended maximum of 1.35V+5% (1.417V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.35V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum." Will it be ok or should I buy new RAM?

the newer intel cpu now use ddr4 ram only the d3 stamped mb have ddr3 low voltage ram slots on them. with the ram you can sell it if your parting out the pc or email the vendor see if you can do a exchange. if not you have to buy two new sticks of ram.

The MB I am using supports DDR3. Are you saying that I do need lower voltage and should sell or try to exchange them?
