I have the GA-Z170X-UD3 motherboard with an i5 6600k clocked at 4ghz and was wondering if I could plug 16gb of 3200mhz ram and enable XMP and be up and running just like that. Do I need a higher overclock to run the ram at 3200mhz?

Solution
I would guess yes, but take a slightly higher OC or a little additional voltage to the MC (memory conntroller) but should be easy enough, if problems give me a shout ;)

My Z170X - UD5 works fine with my GSkill Trident Z DDR4 3200 cas 14 by enabling XMP. No overclocking or tweaking necessary.
