I just installed the Geforce GTX 1060 dual OC 6gb to my pc and my resolution is all wonky. In on board graphics it looks fine but with the graphics card I have to lower my resolution SIGNUFICANTLY in order for things to be the right color and sharpness. When I raise it to 1920 by 1080 everything gets darker and slightly bluer and all the text gets fuzzy. What am I doing wrong?

So you do have the latest driver. You can try a different connection type, try with another monitor, maybe another cable. Does the monitor have an auto adjust option? You can try that.

I'm not that familiar with Nvidia's control panel, but have a look in there for a scaling setting.

I believe it's in the 'adjust desktop size and position', settings. Just make sure that scaling is at the same aspect ratio of your screen first ;)
Then post back here.

-good luck

My monitor is only a year and a half old. And I'm using an hdmi plugged directly into the graphics card. I'm not sure how to tell if my drivers are updated is there a way to check?

When you installed the card, how did you install the drivers?

I installed my drivers via a disk. There is also an application for nVidia that I installed which did an update. However I don't know if it update ALL of my drivers or just one specific one
