I am having problems with my internet connection. I've tried everything I possibly can. I changed routers, changed modems & have called my internet provider multiple times.

Ever since the weekend that Hurricane Mathew came to North Carolina, my power went out etc etc & since that day my internet connection has been dropping constantly, more in day & less at night. I've tried unplugging the modem and the router & letting them shut down and start up completely & eventually it drops later in the day. I thought the problem would be the modem/router combo TWC provides since I've had bad experiences with the combos for having poor range.

All TWC has to say is to keep unplugging my router but so far in the last 10 minutes it's dropped twice, router and modem light go on orange for a few minutes then goes back to normal. I can't keep unplugging and replugging my router whenever this happens.

Router: Linksys WRT1900AC
Modem: Netgear CM500
Plan: TWC Ultimate 300

I have been having the same problem. I'm pretty sure these routers are faulty. I just reverted my firmware and re-installed the newest version of firmware (you have to wait a while for the spinning circles during the update until the browser shows update complete). It has stopped for now (it has only been an hour). Seems that people on other threads say that firmware updates don't help and that when a lot of devices are connected to the router it has this problem more frequently. I have 8-15 devices connected normally so I always have a problem. I'm now thinking of just getting a different router.
