Hey guys!

Was hoping that someone can help me out here. I have a AMD Phenom II X4 B95 on board from the factory and now after a few years, I need a boost. I was wondering if there was a CPU out there that can replace the one I have now because it doesn't really do so well with gaming. I really want to use it for gaming but don't have the money for a new build. I have a 500$ budgget for a new CPU.

Please let me know whats out there with some links!

Oh I just understood what you actually have. You have a prebuilt up tower?

Well that makes things a little more difficult. Could you please tell me the model number or wattage of psu?

Basically by seeing this as a prebuilt system, there is not to much to use from there. I mean, you may have some issues routing/fitting components into that case (I'm sure it'll work but, extra care required), psu is most likely very weak. At this point, I'm thinking it would be best, i5-4460 (a bit overkill for that gpu but you will be happy with this)

Here, as you will notice there is still room in budget. PC case not picked out yet and you can change the cpu cooler is there to hold price slot, reuse your RAM on this build or any drives. Do you need...

I believe the motherboard you have in mind is the one that houses your cpu? That's an amd motherboard and will not support the use of an Intel cpu. But, what you do have is a working computer, meaning... Parts! If you really want a boost, you could get i5-6500, h110m motherboard, DDR 4 ram and you'll be under 500$.

But what does your gpu... Psu look like? (List the rest of system please)
