Hey! My mobo has only 2 fan ports (I think they are called headers) but I am planning on using 5 fans, 2 on top, 2 in front, and a liquid cpu cooler with a fan on the back (Cooler-https://goo.gl/z0bUiY). And so I was thinking I would get two of those fan splitter cables, with one on one fan plug and the other on the other. But then I was confused about whether I should plug the liquid cooler's fan into the cpu fan plug or a regular case fan plug. Sorry for the long post. Thanks alot!

Solution
Yes, your CPU cooler fans should go to the CPU Fan header so they can be dynamically controlled by the CPU temperature.

Case fans should go to System or Chassis fan headers. These may or may not be controllable.

You can also just power fans directly if you get the appropriate adapters or the right fans.
