FPS stutter Minecraft

Solution
Most likely the HDD, as it is old and probably getting worn out.

People tend to forget, or even not know, that Windows uses the HDD as part of the memory. This constant use can corrupt the data held on the HDD. You can reinitialise this, but I forget how and don't know about Win 10, as Win 10 is a TSR(terminate and stay resident) on the HDD, to enable it to start faster. It caches Win 10 for fast start.

You could try just doing a full shut down.

i3 6100
GTX 1060
Old 320GB hard drive from a laptop
8GB 2133Mhz Ram
Windows 10.

Obvious pick is hard drive i'm sure, as it is most likely to freeze up while using the slow hard drive, but it never used to do this with the same exact setup.
