I have a laptop that I use to stream movies to my TV via HDMI. Always worked good. Lately movies have been stuttering and stopping while the sound keeps going. Then the picture will catch up with the sound and it starts all over again and sometimes even freezes. I had my ISP, Comcast, out to the house 12-14 times. They have replaced every cable in the house all the way to the street. Funny thing about all this. Netflix and U-Tube plays just fine. If I try to stream from Comcast's site, thats when the problems start up. I even have my laptop wired to the router. I have an Hp
G60-235dx, with dual processors, Pentium dual core T-4200 @ 2.00GHz, 3GB ram, Win10, my router is Netgear WNDR3400v3 N600. My internet speed is 25Mbps. Like I said, I used to be able to stream movies ok but the past 3 months, they start and stop and freeze. Anyone got an idea? Comcast's tech's that have been here say its my laptop, processors are to slow and cant handle the load. I disagree! I tell them its the service.

If you're 'streaming' direct from the laptop to the TV via HDMI, this has nothing to do with Comcast !

This movie file is stored directly on the laptop?
Or are you attempting to play a movie that lives elsewhere, through the laptop, to the TV?

Its probably the laptop. If so much have changed and its still the same, there much be something on with the laptop

Either

The intergrated internet is trash

The laptop cannot handle such high graphical load.

Try lowering resolution and see if anything changes.

Tell me your results
