It's compatible with the mobo - yes, and a 1060 is a good GPU

Looks good overall, with Z170 though you need DDR4 take a look at the GSkill RipJaws V in 2400 or 2666 anyway, the sweet spot is around 3000-3200

actually the graphics card i have which is the MSI Gefore GTX 1060 has a built in gpu so i think im good, but there is one more thing. This video said that the MSI Gefore GTX 1060 graphics card doesnt have a sli bridge, but my mobo is a mis z170a sli will the graphics card be compatible with the z170a sli?
