So my computer had been running perfectly fine about a year ago, with no complaints at all. Then at one point I noticed that my games (BF4, GTAV, F04) started lagging whenever I would play them, even when I lowered the game performance settings. It's really bugging me because I used to be able to play all of these games with no fps lag/stuttering, and now it happens in every game. I've tried diagnosing it by dusting out all of my computer, detaching my heat sink and attaching it/applying thermal paste, resetting my BIOS chip on my motherboard, running antivirus/antimalware, but to no avail.

OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz
Ram: 4.00GB
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 760
Directx Version: 11

Any help would be fantastic, as I'm hoping I'll be able to fix my pc and run Battlefield 1 without any issues!

EDIT: I figured out what the problem was by accident. A game I was able to play before said it required 8gb of ram to run, which I knew I had. Went to my system settings and saw that I was running only 4gb, one of my memory sticks was improperly seated after which, I'm assuming, I dusted it last, so I clicked it back into place and now my computer is running like it should!
