I have a ASRock FM2A75 Pro4+ PCI Express 3.0 mother board with an AMD A10-6800K APU with Radeon HD Graphics 4.10 GHz processor. Along with 8.00 GB RAM. 64-bit Windows 10 OS and x64-based processor. Also a Allied ATX 300W switching power supply. My case is an NZXT Source 210 Blue with Window USB 3.0 Chassis.

My budget is $300.

Can anyone give me some tips on what and where to start upgrading for medium to high quality settings, while playing games such as H1Z1 KOTK.

Any help is much appreciated! Have a great day!

I see that you currently have a 300W PSU. I recommend something around 400W such as the Seasonic S12ii (or M12ii) 430W.

The 520W version will give you more head room for updating your PC.

I own the Seasonic S12ii 520W Bronze PSU and have had no problems with it, I did have one and only one unexpected shut down where I had to reset the PSU, but I think that was due to over current or over voltage protection that kicked in to save my computer.

I was upset with myself for buying the S12ii 520W. I really wish I had spent the extra $10 or so dollars and picked up the M12ii 520W version as...
I really want to design a system for you that consists of a new motherboard, CPU and the addition of a discrete graphics card but $300 is not quite enough to do that right, so your other option for now is to simply keep your current CPU and add a discrete graphics card.

The NVidia 1050ti comes out very soon. I'm going to recommend any of the EVGA models as your best choice right now. You can keep the rest of the money that you have left and save it up and eventually buy an i5-6500, ASRock H170 motherboard and 16GB of RAM to go along with your new 1050ti.

You've reach the pinnacle of what the FM2 socket can provide. There's no worthwhile upgrade unless you buy a new CPU, motherboard, GPU, PSU and possibly RAM, meaning that your $300 budget isn't going to cut it.

If you want to upgrade now, then look at getting 16GB of 2400Mhz RAM. If you can wait and save your money, then look at a completely new build based on Skylake.

What psu would you recommend to go along with the 1050ti?

EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 03G-P4-6162-KR, 3GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) for $209.99. Is it compatible with my specs?
