So I was feeling around in the dark and accidentally pressed on the ClrCMOS and now boot up gives me a black screen with a flashing tilde on the left. I have an Asrock motherboard and having a look at my boot options, it appears my SSD isn't showing up as a boot option. I assume this might be the crux of the issue.
So how do i go about rectifying this?

Thanks all for any help everyone ! =)

Hmm, give it a go with the different ports. You might try restarting your BIOS again, to see if that helps (yup I know that that's basically what put you in this position in the first place). Another option would be to try and repair your Windows installation via your installation media (USB/DVD), to see if the SSD shows up under the boot priority options afterwards.

Please keep me posted.
Hey there, Roscius.

Unfortunately I can't see the screenshots well enough in order to be able to read anything as they are too small.

Clearing the CMOS might cause issues like this one, sometimes. If you can remember your previous BIOS/UEFI setting I'd advise you that you setup everything as it was. E.g. change the SATA port to AHCI if it's IDE now. Try updating the BIOS/UEFI. Try the SSD with a different SATA port and with different SATA cables (both power and data).
You could also turn to the motherboard manufacturer's customer support to see if the guys there have a solution as well.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Boogieman_WD for the reply. I provided the links to the images. It seems that the SSD is recognised by something but doesn't show up on boot options. Ill try different ports for the SSD asap since i dont quite remember the previous settings.
