I am newbie and am not expert of PCs but recently tries to fix little problems myself. I am able to access various websites but when I tries to install any software error comes like-check your internet connections. I am using LAN connection in my laptop by changing IP in a Academic Insitute. Also when I tries to troubleshoot then error come like windows could not automatically detect this proxy setting. One more thing when I tries to view the network information in control panel there comes red cross mark although connection is shown through LAN .
Please help. If some information is missing please let me know..
