i have a HP workstation z820 motherboard hp158b chipset intel c602.
i think my cpu (xeon e5 2643) is a bottleneck for my new asus geforce OC 1060 6 gb

cpu HFM 3.3 turbo 3.5

can i overlock it?i better avoid?

You are partially correct. My HP Z400 (C602 chipset) is able to push my W3680 to 4.1GHz on all cores with ThrottleStop.

The W3680 has an unlocked multiplier. He won't be able to do much of anything with his E5-2643.
