Hey folks, I've just built my first gaming pc and im having trouble connecting it to my tv(no signal). When i turn the pc on i hear 1 long and 2 short beeps from my motherboard speaker and there is a solid red L.E.D next to my ram. Everything is connected properly and all my components are compatable so i can't think of what to do next. should i try hitting the MemOK button next to the ram on my asus z170-A board? or will that not help?
Cheers in advance :)

You should get some sort of output on your TV without hitting the delete key... So there's nothing shown on the TV with either interface? Have you tried removing the 1070 and just using the on board HDMI? If not try that and see if we get any video on the screen. Also please confirm that you are using a direct cable from the back of the video card (or onboard) to the TV right.

There are several standards to the HDMI interface. Double check your cable to ensure you are using the correct one. According to the internet your TV needs v1.2 or higher to function and your 1070 support v2.0b. So you'll need a v2.0b or greater HDMI cable.

Lastly you had mentioned earlier that you tried a different cable too either VGA or DVI... How did you...

Did you have tried to remove the GPU, and use the mobo's video output to see if the computer can display something? This only works if the processor has an integrated graphic processing unit (APU or intel CPU's with HD... graphics)

If pc displays the boot process, then check your UEFI settings (the PCI-E one)
else if the pc doesn't display it, then the issue may be somewhere else. It would be strange because your first post says that it goes fine...

Also, ensure that that your GPU is being powered. I had it once, that I forgot to connect the PSU with the GPU to give additional power.

okay folks, some good news and some not so good news. I've moved my sticks of ram to a1 and b1 instead of the vice versa and all seems ok, no more beeping and the red LED is now flashing, great! However i still cant seem to get into the bios. i currently have my hdmi connected to my tv and my mobo, i checked the gpu before i removed it and it was fine, the rgps lit up and the fans were spinning, so it has a power supply, wohoo! any tips on where i go from here?
