Hello,

I have a 3-ish year old system, which i want to squeeze abit more life out of so i'm attempting to upgrade to a new GPU: GTX1060. I've installed the GPU, but on boot the machine hangs on the bios splash screen.

I've replaced the previous gpu, and it boots fine. System is standard, no overclocking, reading the mobo specs i though this gpu would be compatiable, am i wrong?

machine details:

Mobo: Z77-DS3H S1155 Intel Z77 DDR3 ATX <link>http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4326#ov</link>

Cpu: Core i5-3570K S1155 3.4GHz 6MB

Thanks,
L

FIXED: FYI for anyone who hits this searching, F11a biod update includes better support for x16 PCI slot, so if you are upgrading to a modern gpu, update your bios. This is easy, visit Gigabyte websire for details.
