Budget is $350. I really liked the Sabertooth series but after reading the nightmare product reviews and threads on overclocked of the X99, I'm having serious doubts about going with anything Asus for this cpu.

I'm only focused on reliability because this build is for my trading desk. Wi-fi would be a plus because I need it but I don't mind getting a WLAN card either. Other than that I can't think of anything else I need from a mobo besides top quality and reliability.

Please share your recommendation for my usage, even if it's over the mobo budget. Thank you!

This is one of the best motherboards you can buy for the 1151 socket. Asus (like all motherboard manufacturers) has issues with a few models, but they also make some of the best motherboards out there for 1151:

Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VIII FORMULA ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($343.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $343.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

-Built-in wifi, and fantastic performance.

Here's a full review from Hardcop on the board, in which it received their Editor's Choice Gold Award.

I totally agree with you but I'm referring to the X99 motherboards. Although, I wonder if I should ditch the idea of a 6800k broadwell-e and just go with a skylake since the reviews about it suggest it is more reliable and stable all around.

If you wanted to stick with a X99 (and you didn't mind REALLY breaking budget) this is just about the best you can get:

Motherboard: Asus Rampage V Edition 10 EATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($549.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $549.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

This is quite literally top-of-the-line. Support for every piece of hardware under the sun, powerful 3-way wireless built in. Also received an Editor's Choice Award from TweakTown, and they are another very reputable reviewer. Full review here if you're interested.

Honestly either one of these options would provide fantastic performance. An i7 Skylake paired with the Maximus VIII would provide amazing performance and reliability. The i7-6800k paired with the Rampage V is just about the best you can buy right now.
