i can use a router, a cheap laptop or two, OR a raspberry Pi for this.
i want to set up a public WiFi hotspot. it would run 24/7 no problem, but i have two things that i NEED from this
1-
to direct to a splash page automatically. this would just be a simple website with a download this app to connect thing on it
i would need to let them connect and download the apps but not let them on the internet until that happens.
-bonus points if it ONLY lets them connect to this website and download these apps-
so aka-
they would need to go to the web page and download the apps to get access to the internet. i'll explain this to them.
** Once they have finished downloading the apps, i can either:
-Forward them to a link,
-Show them a file
-Close the popup with the app

if i can't get internet for a while, then i would need to use a public hotspot as the internet.
i have hotspot login details, and these are only accessible with login- so think of it as a hotspot rental?
i have BTwifi. this disconnects computers a lot, but you can get a phone app that lets you connect forever. i need this
i need help and don't have a lot of time to figure this out.
