I just tried installing a new Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 into my PC and now I can't seem to get it to stop restarting or recognize any of my monitors.
I have tried putting back in my old card and it is still restarting and unable to recognize my monitors.

I have looked at other threads and most seem to offer some sort of solution which would require the use of my monitors.

I accidentally picked your comment as solution no idea how to reverse but components are
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060
Corsair CX600M
ASRock H97 Anniversary ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core i5-4440 Haswell Processor 3.1GHz 5.0GT/s 6MB LGA 1150 CPU
Ripjaw ddr4 8192mb *2

My old card which is also having this issue is : VGA GIGABYTE GV-R929WF3-4GD R9 290

not sure what else is wanted

Well then we don't really have much of a choice here. You're going to have to buy a higher quality unit.

There has been talk that the new revised CSM series is better than the old, but I've seen plenty of people having these types of problems with the new ones too.

My recommendations. The Corsair unit has the longest warranty at ten years, the EVGA model is the most efficient at 80+ Platinum and the Cooler Master model is a little cheaper but still awesome quality.

You believe that the fault is entirely in the PSU?
I've been running it in my old setup just fine and now that I try to go back to it the restarting continues.

If you take the graphics cards that are giving you problems and put them in a different computer, do they work properly? If the answer is yes, the problem is either the power supply or the motherboard. Seeing as you have an H97 Anniversary board, I highly doubt the board is at fault.

Ok I will pick up a new PSU, I'm still not sure about the monitors not working though. They don't even get recognized through the old GPU or onboard GPU.

Also would you recommend the EVGA SuperNOVA 850W G2 ATX or are the ones you mentioned better?

Yes They are recognized by my laptop just fine

I was asking about the PSU because there is one available near me right now. I don't really feel like waiting over the weekend to get a new one delivered.

Alright I'm going out right now to pick up a new one either the one of the ones you mentioned or the 850w if there's no others.
I'll be back and see if it fixes anything

Yah, I'm not sure what's going on. I tried switching around cables and tried both GPU and onboard, but now the PC won't even turn on.
I'm pretty sure the problem is that I plugged something in wrong or a wire is loose but I'll have to look at closer tomorrow.

If that's your game, please unplug the problem monitor from the computer. Then open Command Prompt as admin and type in set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1 then press Enter. You can then close Command Prompt.

Now go into Device Manager, drop down the View menu, check Show Hidden Devices. Open the Monitors section and uninstall all monitors that appear with a grayed out icon. This will make Windows forget all settings related to the problem monitor. You'll need to restart before plugging the monitor back in.
