Hello all!
Ive been trying to boost my cpu performance but has been turning bad. I would change the voltage, and it would kill my fps. I change my multiplier and the highest I can go is a solid 212. I've been researching but found nothing up to date. So what do you think is the best AM3+ socket processor? I have a fx 6350 black edition right now.

Solution
The upgrade from a 6350 to an 83xx cpu imho is not worth the cost(especially if you mainly play games). Save your money till you can afford a more substantial upgrade.

What motherboard do you have? And what do you mean you changed the multiplier to 212? That's not the multiplier that's probably the front side bus. That can be harder to get stable as its going to change cpu frequency, memory frequency, HT link frequency, and the northbridge frequency. Try overcloking via the multiplier instead. However if turning up the voltage results in worse performance you are probably overheating something, what did you change the voltage to and what are the cpu temps while under load?

I have a n68c GS FX motherboard! And sorry lol I meant the cpu freq. I tried 1x1 and 212 is the max I can go with the frequency. I changed the voltage like 1 level above stock. I think it was about 1437, the stock I would say was about 1400? I wish I was at home to give the approximate numbers. And its a solid 31 32 Celsius.

So the 8350 is my best bet for gaming? I can't afford a new motherboard with a intel chip sadly, and my motherboard is a n68c gs fx.

Thanks for answering! I wish I could honestly switch to intel, but my budget won't allow that lol. And my motherboard only can support am3+ :c

The CPU support list for that motherboard doesn' t include any of the FX 8 cores. It has zero 125W cpus and does't include the old thuban t1100 or t1090 so I wouldn't suggest the upgrade at all.

I suggest saving up for an AMD Zen or Kabylake cpu.
