Hi, I own a Dell Inspiron 3650 and recently the power supply went bad. I did some research online, and had the Geek Squad at my local Bestbuy confirm that that was indeed the issue. Right off the bat, that might not sound like such an issue, just order a replacement and switch it out. I had significant difficulties locating any information about the machines' power supply and it's compatibility. Not to mention the particular power supply in my machine isn't anywhere for purchase. I would also rather not send it in for repairs.

Given that preface, what I want to do is replace the case, motherboard and power supply. My reason for this objective is that I want my machine to be a bit more standardized. What I would like is advice as to whether this is possible. If it is, what are some parts that you would recommend?

If it isn't possible to to salvage the parts from the Inspiron, what would be a viable replacement power supply.

Thanks in advanced. :D
