Hello!

Im currently rocking a Samsung 4k LED Freeync monitor and a single RX 480 8 GB and of course im using the freesync feature. I want to get as close to 4k gaming as possible and to do that I need much GPU power. (My CPU is a i7 6700k) Im thinking to buy an additional RX 480 8 GB model but im not sure if that is even powerful enough.

I thought that If I buy a GTX 1080 and maybe uppgrade in the future would be better.
Problem is that I will lose the freesync feature and get alot of "tearing" and "stuttering".

So is the "Freesync" feature good? Shall I keep it? Or switching to Nvidia
My experience so far is that it doesnt help to much, im still getting tearing even with freesync enabled.

Solution
You'll lose the Freesync capability; yes, but it won't really matter given that the 1080 can easily push around 60fps maxed, and if not maxed at high settings.
I'm not sure why AMD is sticking freesync in monitors which their highest offerings can't come close to powering effectively, doesn't make any sense to me.

Switch to the 1080 and enable Vsync or control your FPS with something like Riva tuner, a command line in Steam or some other way.
