I want to upgrade my pc from 8gb of ram to 16 gb of ram. This is my mother board GIGABYTE G1.SNIPER Z97 ATX W/ KILLER GBLAN AMP-UP 6X SATA 6GB SLI AND CROSSFIREX.
My current ram consists of 2 G.Skill Rip Jaws X F3-17000CL11S-4GBXL DDR3-2133 CL11-11-11-30 1.5-1.6V PC3-17000 4Gx1 Intel XMP Ready.
I purchased 2 sticks of G.Skill Rip Jaws X F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL DDR3-2133 CL11-11-11-30 1.5-1.6V PC3-17000 4Gx2 Intel XMP Ready.
After putting in the purchased ram sticks, my computer didn’t start up and the USB ports were not working. I am new to custom PCs.

Update* After inserting and removing my ram sticks multiple times due to trouble shooting, now my PC won't boot and USB devices won't work even with my original 8gb of ram,
