Hi guys,

Having problems. all of our machines are on a image hosted by a vm server. we are having problems with dell keyboards on the dell machines where it will freeze and we need to click back into the application to then type again. So it causes users to type and then interupt their typing.

Any body had this?

Many thanks

Not sure if this helps or not, but I just had this happen on a Dell Inspiron. I was typing, then got the "ding" noise as the active application shifted focus. No idea what program was active...so I hit alt-f4. Of all things, Warcraft 3 (had it running in the background) closed. But I don't think it was actually Warcraft, I suspect some sort of windows handler program, possibly compatibility for legacy software.

Happens with wireless and wired dell keyboards.

We use outlook. and other applications.

And use Dell Work stations too.

when you type you see the keyboard marker so you know where your typing and what letter your about to type. That just dissapears so the user would need to click into the box again to continue typing.

It just goes away and then you need to click back to some sort to activate it again so you can type.

Almost as if another program is pinging up in the background and "clicking away" from the program that is open. Maybe one of the programs running in the background? I really don't know, sounds like a strange problem. Maybe something to do with how the drivers are set up on the vm server?
