I bought this graphics card about a year ago. I didn't need 2 monitors at that point but now i do.
I own a Dell Optiplex 755 SSF, because of this i wasn't sure what sort of graphics card i need so i got the 'ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO'
It only has one connecter for a monitor in the back.

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

If the video card only has one monitor connector on the back, how will you attach a second monitor to it? Answer is pretty clear here. Did you check to see if the motherboard video is working also? You can use that if it's not disabled, some systems allow the motherboard video to work at the same time as an add on card.

For basic use (non gaming) you can get a simple USB video card and just add that, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815158162&cm_re=usb_video_adapter-_-15-158-162-_-Product or replace your card with a model with dual outputs. This is fine http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130602
