Hello! I am looking to upgrade my desktop. I've previously asked here and received a good response and I did build it but now I feel I need to upgrade again. I currently have this build:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 750K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-UP4 ATX FM2+ Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Storage: Western Digital RE3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB Video Card
Case: NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 - OEM (64-bit)

It plays fine on some games, but as I am currently playing FFXIV, I would like to up it so that it can play more smoothly graphics-wise (play on max settings). My current computer does get a tiny bit loud (fans get louder and I can feel the case on some areas get a little warm) and am hoping one of you can help me upgrade it to better performance all around.

Budget-wise, I am looking for around $1000 if a suggested build is from scratch, which I don't mind at all. Will be ordering parts online and within the next month or so, hope to have it up and running.

Also, would like a recommendation on an SSD as I've heard it loads much faster and boots much faster.

Looking forward to any help! Any questions, please ask and I will get back to you ASAP. Thank you!

For that budget I would start at something like this:

Motherboard: MSI H170 Gaming M3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($109.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($41.99 @ B&H)

You don't mention your current resolution, but I guess you're now playing at 1080p/60 hz. With the GTX 1070 you are ready to upgrade to a 1440p monitor and still max out most games for the years to come. If you are not planning on changing your monitor anytime soon you can replace the GTX 1070 with a GTX 1060 or RX 480.
I have also put in a new PSU, since the Corsair CX series isn't a very good/reliable PSU.

Here is the list:

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($73.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($72.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB FTW DT GAMING ACX 3.0 Video Card ($404.99 @ SuperBiiz)

All the things need to be upgraded except Case and HDD.
With this build next time you upgrade there will be no need to upgrade PSU and SSD which will save nearly $150 next time.

Thank you both for the superb replies! I'll look over them both in detail some more and build one or the other. Definitely appreciate very much both of them, but as I can only select one, don't feel bad, please. <3
