Hi,

whilst playing BF1, after about 20 mins my CPU temp will go to 80C and then jump up and down from 85C to 88C. This obviously isn't a recommended temp, and tbh I dont really know what to do. I am fairly new to PCs, an had two friends build my PC a few months ago.

My CPU is i7 6700K and I do have a cooler which is a Corsair H60. I have read many posts that say it could be bad placement of a cooler or even certain wattage. Any ideas?

Is your PC overclocked? Is the cooler socketed right on the CPU? Is the thermal paste applied correctly on the CPU? Is the cooler block blowing air outside the case or in? This could be a number of things, and it will require some PC knowledge. If you cannot do it, I would advice to call your friends and let them take a look at what is going on.

No my pc is not overclocked. What i could tell it is placed correctly and rather tight. The cooler come with a pre-applied paste. It feels as though it may be pulling in. I have spoke to them and the earliest they can check it out is Tuesday.

I currently have two on the side, the one behind the radiator of the cooler and one on the top of the case.
