Hi guys,
Have read a lot of nothing but good things about both Gigabyte H110M S2 and MSI H110M Pro-D. Both are priced same here and this is a gaming only pc. Now which is the better option in every way to run an i5 6500 and MSI gaming x rx480 8gb ?

Solution
The Gigabyte H110M DS2 is really geared more toward router/ mini-server use (notice the external serial and parallel ports).

Between the two I'd stick with the MSI.

They are almost identical (all the way down to the same audio codecs, LAN, and internal SATA ports.)

The deciding factor for me is the video out. The MSI H110M PRO-D has DVI, while the Gigabyte is still using a VGA. You'll get a much higher-quality video output from the DVI. When they are so close little differences like that are typically the deciding factor.

Also the MSI recieved an 'Editor Approved' award from Tom's, which is always a plus when you know the board has been well reviewed. You can read the full review HERE if you're interested.

Summary: I'd go with the MSI MSI H110M Pro-D

Edit: The MSI board also has 2 more USB 2.0 ports than the Gigabyte...which could certainly come in handy.

No, you're not missing anything. If you're using a dedicated GPU the video outputs on the motherboard are a secondary feature.

That said, the inclusion of the USB support also makes things like installing from a Windows 10 USB easier as the USB 2.0 will avoid the common issue with not having USB 3.0 driver support ready on installation.

Overall just having the extra flexibility makes the MSI MSI H110M Pro-D a better choice of the two.

Ok..Now between a Gigabyte H110M DS2 dd4 and MSI H110M Pro-D which is a better option ? Im considering DS2 because it has 'Dual bios technology' to protect bios in case and an '8 channel audio HD audio' both which are lacking in S2 model.
