Hello. I would like to ask you something about the gpu that im about to buy and my current psu.

So, i will buy a MSI GTX 1060 since my old gtx 550 ti is pretty outdated. The thing i dont know is.. Will i have to buy a new psu also? bcuz this one ( corsair cx500) is about 6 years old. Im a little bit noob with the knowledge of pc parts. I can write you down my current system specs.
AMD FX 8350
Gainward GTX 550 ti
8gb ram
Asrock 970 extreme 3
Corsair cx500 psu

Solution
If thats the old CX500 with green labels and not the new one with black and grey logos (CX500M to be precise), then I do suggest a PSU upgrade just to be safe.

The old CX PSUs were very cheaply made.

I too had bought corsair cx 430 v2 for my 550ti.now i am using it with my msi gtx 1060 gamingX and an overclocked 4690k and haven't faced any problem.so,yes, you are absolutely fine with your cx500.goodluck.
