I was using MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk for 4 years. I want to upgrade to Sapphire Nitro RX 480 4GB. But it is 225W (Stock version 175W).
Can Corsair CX 500 handle Sapphire Nitro RX 480 4GB?
My PC spec..
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 GHz
Gigabyte G41 combo Motherboard
6 GB DDR3 RAM
Toshiba 1 TB HDD
Corsair CX500 PSU
DVD Writer

Solution
A Sapphire Nitro RX 480 4GB needs 30 amps on the 12v+ rail and at least a 500w power supply , with an 8 pin PCIE power connection , your PSU exceeds the requirements your all set.

CX500 exceeds all the requirements. :D

The 'M' series is more reliable.

Honestly you will probably still be OK with the CX500, but it might be pushing it. The good news is that the CX500 (when it did fail) had perfectly fine failure safeties so even if the PSU struggles or fails it is unlikely to cause damage to the rest of your rig.

If it were me and I couldn't afford a new PSU I'd go ahead and use it.

The CX500 and CX500m are the same platform with the same build quality. It's the newer CX450m, 550m, and 650m that use the newer better platform.
