So im building my first pc I only have an intel i3 6100 and one stick of ddr4 ram installed and only two ram slots in the motherboard i tried testing the computer to see if the bios would boot up on my gigabyte H110M-A motherboard. The cpu fan spun and the speaker made five beeps then the system shut off turned back on again then repeated the process please help!

Find out who made the BIOS (i.e Award bios yadayada) then look up [BIOS name] beep codes. Find out what code matches the amount of beeps (in this case 5, dunno if they're long or short) and you'll find out what is causing the problem.

If I had to take a hack at the problem, I'd first ask if that DIMM is in slot zero. If it isn't, it might be that it isn't picking up any RAM in that slot. And from what I know motherboards won't work without slot zero occupied.

Ive tried that a couple times and my ram slot only opens on one side the opposite side seems the only one giving me a firm click but the side with the lock dosent really click in, and yes the little key hole is facing the right way
