I overclocked my 4790k through the bios upgrade % by 40% its a gigabyte soc overclocking mobo and now recently even after I went into the bios and did the reset to defaults and saved many times it is still showing it at 4.36 ghz in task manager and the fan on my water cooler is super loud like unbearable loud. Please help if you know a way to fix it my cooler is an antec h2o 950

No 29c idle really isn't that bad, no reason your fans should be spinning so fast at 29c.

There are several methods depending on motherboard, usually there's a small metallic battery that you can pop out with the pc off and power unplugged for a minute then replace. Sometimes there are jumpers you have to use.

Check our your motherboards manual if you can't figure it out, it should be in there.

I reset cmos my mobo actually had a button but it still says its at 4.36 maybe its the norm and i never noticed and its just my cooler fans that are faulty idk might just buy a new cooler fan setup thinking about the kraken from nzxt if you know anything about them but either way thank you izoli
