Any significant difference between these two Asus GPUs?

Hi, after an exhausting search to find the best GPU that wasn't too expense and new enough that I wouldn't need to upgrade for a while. I decided on the Strix OC version but its out of stock, the 2nd version is available, so would you recommend I wait or just buy the 2nd one.

Is there significant change in quality between them that I might regret getting the 2nd version. Should I wait for the 1st to be in stock?

2nd has lower core clock, boost clock and is missing 3D API directx 12 and SLI support. I don't know enough to understand what that means so I'll appreciate any input.

well teh OG8 version (first) is out of stock

but the OG8 is overclocked more

Don't be fooled by all the marketing. These are two of the same physical gpu cores, same amount of video memory, same everything, however they are both clocked differently. The strix OC edition is clocked higher and is theoretically for people who intend to overclock the card as they try to use the gpu cores that are able to overclock the best for OC series cards, not every gpu can hit the same clocks. The gaming series is clocked slightly lower and i cant see much difference really, it seems they both have lighting on the covers. They both can use the same graphics apis and both can SLI, even with each other as theyre still the same chip at heart. The clock difference is marginal though, go with whatever is cheaper and fulfills your wants more.
