hey folks! i have two motherboards laying around (asrock n68-v53 UCC and biostar g41D3C). The Asrock has an AM3 socket and the Biostar has a 775 socket.
I want to do a budget gaming build with either of the 2 motherboards, im planing on use a GTX 750TI as a GPU, but now the big question is what CPU should i get? As this will be a budget build im looking for a CPU on the $50 range.
i have found some cheap intel xeons on Ebay around that price range and as well i have found some Phenom II X4 955 for around $40
I know that this are old mobos and as well that i will be using old CPUs, can someon help me and tell me wich will be better to squeeze the max out of a CPU.

[strike]the am3 socket, 775 is ancient compared to am3+ (not to say am3+ is considederably new or anything). You could maybe pick up a used fx 6300 for the am3 board for $50ish from /r hardwareswap or if you can't find one close to that price you could settle for an fx 4350 or something
[/strike]
edit: wrong socket mb

you would need an am3+ socket for that, the am3 doesnt support fx series
